RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Marvellous.
I might very well run out of superlatives by the end of this review. Defoe's View is a lovely modern eco house with a gorgeous view overlooking the Blackdown Hills, situated just outside Honiton and perfectly situated for the Devon Jurassic Coast and indeed all the delights that Devon has to offer. The house itself is marvellous- four lovely and spacious double bedrooms, (two ensuites + a family bathroom) Bedrooms are supremely comfortable with excellent quality super king sized beds, deep pile carpets, very tasteful soft furnishings, gorgeous views and ample storage. The walk in showers are terrific, with great water pressure and bathrooms are modern and spacious. The whole house has ground source heating and is warm and cosy at all times. The generous open plan living space is charming with a remarkably and well equipped -kitchen - every little thing has been thought of and provided by the owners. We wanted for nothing. Upon arrival there was a welcoming basket of scones, jam and clotted cream , with milk in the fridge, a vase of flowers and a very comprehensive manual packed with really useful information about the house and the surrounding areas. I would describe this establishment as luxurious self -catering, better than many 4* hotels. The owners, Ann and Steve, really understand what hospitality is all about. They are warm, welcoming, extremely helpful and completely accommodating and informative. This house sits in an idyllic spot, it's wonderfully equipped, tastefully and comfortably furnished and owned and managed by two great people. We were really sad to leave and look forward to returning- really great holiday!
