Detached, single-storey converted granite barn with pond, hillside garden and arbour with spectacular long views to a panorama of tors. Tavistock 3 miles.
In the small hamlet of Sampford Spiney, tucked away at the end of a private drive is Buster Barn, a detached single-storey converted granite barn. You have the best of both worlds here, scenic and secluded, yet close to interesting moorland towns Buster Barn is well placed for exploring wild and rugged Dartmoor. The spacious open-plan living area with an oak fitted kitchen, (washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer, gas hob/electric oven) armchairs and sofa bed (converts to double bed for alternative sleeping), has glazed double doors to the courtyard garden - a lovely place to spend time.
The spacious kingsize bedroom is tranquil and inviting and has a huge en suite bathroom. Buster Barn is surrounded by an enclosed courtyard where there is a table and chairs, barbecue and ornamental pond (netted), over which a neat little trip trap bridge leads to gently sloping hillside garden and arbour with spectacular long views to a panorama of tors. You can walk via a small lane to the open moor and Crip Tor and Ingra Tor are both around ¾ mile away.
Further afield, the market town of Tavistock has an indoor pool, cinema and plenty of shops and restaurants, and Plymouth, Devon's Ocean City is within an easy drive.
