This galleried inn is tucked into Blue Ball Yard, behind the Stafford Hotel in St James. The intriguing thing about this building is not that it looks like a nice place for a pint on a hot day, but that it began life as a barn belonging to Henry VIII, and formed part of nearby St James Palace.
