The Museum of Abernethy traces the long history of Abernethy and region. The museum is located in the grounds of a former Culdees monastery.
The main focus of the museum is the nearby Round Tower of Abernethy,
one of only two Irish style round towers in Scotland, and the rich
Pictish history of the region.
In addition to the core exhibitions, there is a changing programme covering such diverse topics as Salmon Fishing on the Tay, the Abernethy biscuit, Pictish Abernethy, and the history of farming and fishing in the area.
