The ground floor accommodation in this well appointed property is able to sleep two people in a zip-and-link double bed, which can be arranged as two singles with prior notice.

Formerly a blacksmith's workshop, this cottage is located in the heart of Grassington - one of the most popular villages in the Yorkshire Dales. This beautiful ground floor studio has been well furnished to provide elegant accommodation in a fabulous spot. This is a great location for a couple on a romantic break or for a pair of friends to enjoy the stunning scenery of North Yorkshire.

Just a minute’s walk from the village centre, the cottage is well placed for local amenities and activities within the area such as those at Bolton Abbey, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Grassington itself.

Good location, good bed, good facilities, a bit cramped
Blacksmith Cottage was nicely furnished and the bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival was a friendly touch. Its location next to the fish and chip shop and a few yards from the centre of the village was ideal. The bed was comfortable and the accommodation was very quiet - the chip shop is only open 4 or 5 days a week and closes by 7 at the latest. There was no-one in the upstairs rental so I don't know whether you might be disturbed by people walking around overhead. The owners had left basic essentials, e.g. washing powder, kitchen roll, toilet roll, plasters (v. useful one evening). The only downside was that it was a bit cramped. The bed took up a lot of the living/bedroom and if one partner gets up a lot earlier than the other, there isn't anywhere very comfortable to sit and read the paper etc.

We found that the cottage beautifully kitted out and very comfortable in every way. The bed in particular was wonderfully comfortable.

Super accommodation A real home from home
Had a really wonderful week in this quaint cottage. I was very impressed by the quality of the interior, it was tastefully decorated with nice period furnishings. I felt completely at home as soon as I arrived. The whole place was clean and fresh. The owner has paid great attention to detail and it pays off marvelously. The bottle of wine is a lovely touch and reinforces the owners' desire to ensure you have a good time. The cottage is well placed for the town's amenities as it is just off the main square. There are three nice pub/restaurants within a hundred yards and a few yards further on there is a convenience store and a newsagent as well as gift shops etc. This was my first cottage holiday and it is going to be very difficult to better the experience - Thank you

A home from home in a great location. Grassington is a lovely village with enough shops, pubs & cafes, some good walks and friendly locals. Blacksmith Cottage is central and has all the facilities needed for a stay here - well equipped kitchen and huge bed with a small, enclosed patio, which is very handy if you have a hound with you.
