Secluded, peaceful and romantic
Fantastic cottage in a brilliant secluded location. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to completely get away from city life and people in general. The cottage is very quaint and cosy, lots of outside space, a great deck with BBQ + utensils provided. All kitchenware you could think of was available, you don't need to bring anything except food. Owner was kind enough to leave a pint of milk in the fridge, welsh cakes on the table and some chocolates on the bed. Other household items that we appreciated having: washer dryer, drying rack, iron + ironing board. There's a reasonably modern small TV (with an HDMI socket - bring a Chromecast if you want to stream from your phone). Additional heaters available, but we found the central heating to be sufficient for our March stay. The most amazing thing is the shower: hands down absolutely best shower you can have, wide waterfall type with excellent pressure and lots of space. And as a bonus there is a super fast heating lamp right outside the shower door you can switch on to prevent that initial chill you get when opening the shower door and all the steam escapes - GENIUS! I felt the mattress could have been a little bit softer and would prefer the bed didn't slide around as easily (unless there were stop switches somewhere we didn't notice, ha ha). I also would have preferred a low bed, but understand most people don't like that. :) Other thing to remember: this is a very rural location, so be ready for occasional smell of manure at various times of the day (not inside, obviously) to waft by. You can hear the nearby creek flowing, was very pleasant to be able to hear that every day, very relaxing. If you wake up early enough and the living room curtains are open, you will feel like a Disney princess with all the small animals poking around the bushes and deck. All in all it was a fantastic stay and would absolutely go back again.

In the middle of no where but 15/20 mins from the best sights!
What a delight our stay was! I booked this lodge very last minute and I am so glad I was able to come to this stunning lodge. Really felt like you were in a mountain somewhere (would be amazing if there was snow!) It's decorated to a high standard and the facilities are second to none! We only travelled an hour to come here so knew what was in the area to visit but we still felt we had come away. Although we didn't get to meet Dan the owner, we didn't mind as we very much like to keep ourselves to ourselves. One night we sat outside and the sky was so clear it was scattered with stars and was really an experience. One thing i would suggest perhaps is a hot tub because then this would be the ultimate romantic get away! We will be returning, so thank you Dan for your hospitality and making our week from our stressful jobs so relaxing.
