Over 300 miles to get here and we still keep coming back
My wife and I have returned once again to Knights Cottage, the pull to this part of Yorkshire is still ongoing. Having traveled over 300 miles to get here, we still think its very much worth every mile. The cottage itself is still as comfortable as our first visit several years ago and whilst the listing is accurate I?ll list a few of the plus?s for us. The cottage sleeps five people comfortably with super king-size beds in two of the bedrooms. The kitchen has all we need to make our stay enjoyable with dishwasher and washer dryer too with the usual microwave and fridge freezer. The lounge diner has reclining sofas, digital TV (Free-view), DVD player, radio books and maps and a dining table to seat six, together with the WiFi we stay in contact with the outside world when necessary. The wood burning stove is a nice plus for those winter nights. The bathroom is a good size with a shower over bath. The cottage has enclosed front and paved back yards with outside furniture and BBQ too. Once outside you have easy access to walks to the river, up onto the hills. Settle is about two miles down the road and has weekly markets, co-op and other interesting local shops. Booths is the local supermarket for more choice if required. The local pub serves good beer and tasty food, but if you want take away food Settle provides a varied choice including Chinese, Indian, Pizza and fish and chips. But please don?t forget the Knights Table at the local camp site. Even if you don?t stay at Knights Cottage its open to all. Top tips: The Police like to set up speed camera vans between Settle and Langcliffe and just outside the village toward Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

Still as good as our first visit, we just keep coming back.
This is our fifth visit to this cottage located in a quiet hamlet of Stainforth. We have always found the cottage comfortable having reclining sofas and super large beds. We never feel cramped, with room to move around even when the family came too a few years ago. The simple things just tick the boxes, wifi, dishwasher clean cottage friendly family run, knowing this we know we'll have a relaxing holiday. Their are several local walks from the door and a walk along the river is a must, even just the stepping stones by the village green or an adventurous walk up to the cliff top. All on footpaths even the long climb to Catrigg Force is worth every step. Take you car for easy access, goggle maps will help. The town of Settle is 2 1/2 miles away which has local shops and a super market. Usual takeaway options are available their too. Their are lots of local attractions to visit, Malham cove just a few miles away and so many more. We drove over 300 miles to get there and will do it again soon.

Lovely cosy cottage which felt like home from home. Very comfortable sofas and beds. Real fire was a great feature. Would love to return again. Quiet village with nice pub called craven heifer that served brilliant 'huge' meals. Only two miles to settle. Great weekend break.

The cottage was excellent, it had everything we required and was very comfortable. It is in a stunning location with a two minute walk to a very nice pub and just a five minute drive to Settle.
