Fforest Fields Cottage makes a tranquil base for families or friends to enjoy the Royal Welsh Show, the many countryside walks in the area or the fishing and swimming lakes at the owners' campsite, around a mile away.

A hidden gem
We have been going to the campsite at Fforest fields for many years but due to Covid restrictions, we booked the cottage earlier in the year. We were not disappointed! The family put the same care and attention into the cottage as they have done to the campsite. The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need. We received a lovely welcome pack on arrival and the family always have the time to stop and talk about this lovely place. The cottage is away from the campsite but just a short walk away from the lake and campsite. In the evening it was magical to just go outside and look up at the stars as there is no light pollution. The campsite and the cottage are well worth a visit and we keep coming back

Had everything we wanted at Fforest Fields Cottage, a lovely peaceful break from the city. The house was always warm and cosy and the surrounding countryside was astonishingly beautiful.

We had an absolutely lovely stay with beautiful walks and cosy nights in front of the fire. Amazing supply of books, games and DVDs. Chester (our dog) was the most happy, spending his time gazing dreamingly at the sheep. We are already trying to work out dates with the family for when we can go back. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Had a really enjoyable winter cottage break with friends in lovely surroundings!
