Charming, single-storey barn conversion in the picturesque Wiltshire village of Urchfont. Character beams. Open-plan, comfortable and well-equipped accommodation.

Devizes 5 miles.

A comfortable single-storey, timber-clad detached barn conversion, one of two on site, and situated in the picturesque Wiltshire village of Urchfont, five miles from Devizes. This cosy cottage provides couples with a superb romantic retreat. The characterful open-plan living area boasts a wealth of exposed beams with a charming sitting and dining area leading into a small yet well-equipped kitchen.

The beamed king bedroom is off the living area and completing the accommodation is a shower room. To the rear there is a private patio with a shared lawned area beyond, a perfect place to relax whilst planning the day's adventures. Take the short stroll from this Wiltshire holiday home around the village where you can feed the ducks on the pond, shop in the friendly community store or sample real ale in the pub.

Alternatively, take one of the well-signed footpaths which criss-cross the surrounding countryside. Nearby, the beautifully restored Kennet and Avon Canal winds its way through the Vale of Pewsey towards Devizes before it drops down to the magnificent Caen Hill flight of locks, one of the highest in the country. Within driving distance from your Urchfont holiday home you can marvel at ancient Stonehenge, the regal cities of Bath and Salisbury, or the magnificent house, gardens and safari park at Longleat.

This Urchfont cottage offers couples a delightfully snug holiday hideaway in a most fascinating and interesting part of the country. Note: This cottage is adjacent to Ref. 25806, together they sleep 6.

Surprised there are so few reviews
Small in number they may be, but I have to concur with other reviewers? comments about The Pottery, namely that it's a perfectly quiet get-away place to spend three or four nights. The village of Urchfont is chocolate-box pretty and there's an excellent Farm Shop on the road to Devizes. A great base from which to explore Salisbury Plain and the rest of Wiltshire.

A perfect getaway
We stayed here for a week in May 2018 with our golden retriever Oscar. The hosts Claire and Phillip were welcoming and helpful in offering advise on the local area and places to visit. The Pottery is quaint and well equipped with a comfortable bed and a beautiful garden t sit in and soak up the sun. We would highly recommend a visit.

Charming Pet Friendly Cottage in Urchfont
My husband, myself and our dog, Ted, thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The garden was a great size for our dog to run around in and we felt really looked after by Clare. We would highly recommend staying in this lovely cottage in the charming village of Urchfont where everybody was welcoming and friendly. We felt totally refreshed after our relaxing stay and would definitely return in the not too distant future hopefully.
