This pretty, mid-terraced cottage in Nawton, North Yorkshire, sleeps four people in two bedrooms.

Oakleigh House is a delightful, terraced cottage set in the village of Nawton, adjoining the owner's second holiday home. With one double and one twin bedroom, the property can sleep four people. There's also a first floor shower room and a ground floor bathroom.

The kitchen has a dining area, there's also a utility room, a sitting room with gas fire and a small conservatory. Outside, there is roadside parking on a first come, first served basis, along with a small front gravelled patio area with furniture. Oakleigh House is an attractive little property on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, with a wealth of attractions to discover nearby.

10/10 for Thoughtfulness!
Oakleigh House is a great place to stay, it is well situated for travel to areas such as York, Thirsk, Pickering etc. Eden Camp Theme Museum is a must, it brings history to life. However, what made our holiday was the owner's absolute attention to detail. The cottage is beautifully appointed, and the information pack is a delight to behold. All frequent users of self-catering holiday lets will be familiar with the "how do you work the washing machine" game. Not necessary at Oakleigh House, as you have an information pack that covers everything you might need, along with drawers full of information about the local area. And to arrive to milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and a packet of biccies to boot, along with a bottle of wine! The owners clearly know what is needed in a holiday let, and provide it in spades! We could not fault it at all, and have already booked to come back next year so we can carry on and explore the areas we missed this year!

Great accommodation
The cottage overall was very good and we would recommend the cottage to anyone who wants a quality accommodation. We had a problem with a leak from the upstairs bathroom that looks like has been a problem for some time, but was fixed very quickly by the manager. The advertisement are a little misleading particularly the only local pub within walking distance that has very poor opening hours and looks and is completely neglected. And the lack of any shops locally with a 3 mile drive to obtain the basics.

It was a lovely holiday home, in fact it's the first place we've booked that I didn't feel I had to clean crockery, cutlery etc before we used them! Very nice place, beds were very comfortable too. Not far from the house is a recreation ground/park that was fantastic for the kids. We would definitely book this house again in the future!

Lovely Apartment
Located in a quiet little village. Well decorated and fully furnished, spacious and homely. Not far from the charming little town of Helmsley where you can get your grocery from a mini-supermarket, butcher or eat in restaurants. There is a quality farm shop nearby. It will be nice if there is a garden and internet access. A bit inconvenience for no mobile phone signal reception.

The best holiday cottage we have ever rented
Our third visit to Oakleigh House. It did not dissapoint, We have been to many places, where, on the second visit they had deteriorated in decor, cleanliness etc. Not this one! The house was immaculate as always, looks newly decorated & absolutely spotless. It has all of the amenities you could wish for to make your holiday relaxing & comfortable. We are looking forward to going back next year
