If you could bottle tranquility...
Spent a week in Poppies Cottage in February 2017 and had the most amazing time. The cottage is lovely; spacious, warm, clean and very well equipped. We found the utility room entrance really handy for wet walking gear and dogs. The kitchen has everything you need and the open plan living/ dining room is comfortable with a view you can just fall into and forget the rat race. The underfloor heating is very efficient but we couldn't resist lighting the wood burner after a long day hiking, sitting in PJ's with a G&T, looking out at that view was something to look forward to every evening. The bedroom was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. We made good use of the Jacuzzi and small sauna too.
It was very handy to have a safe enclosed garden for our young Labrador.
The owner is very kind and helpful, we had a small Problem with the hot water and it was sorted immediately.
Mull itself has lots to offer, even out of season and Poppies cottage is well placed for exploring the north of the island or further afield, though the single track roads make travelling slow going.... part of the charm of Mull.
We were lucky enough to see a seal, a feeding Otter, an Eagle and Deer as well as lots of bird life. A magical place, sad to leave but feel so relaxed. Relaxation, tranquility, peace.... this place has it by the bucket load. We will be back.
