Fantastic Cottage for families We spent a week at Little Ghyll cottage during the Easter holidays and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My children (girls 9 and 7) spent hours playing in the magical garden and the well-appointed and cosy cottage has everything a family could need during their stay. Our Dog had a fantastic time staying here too. The location is great with many tourist destinations within a few miles, as well as being easy to find as well. The owner Christine could not have been more helpful or kind during our stay and we will definitely be back for a visit in the future. lynz19802018 2018-04-12
Looking forward to our next visit already! We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this beautiful cottage in a perfect setting. The cottage itself was very well kept. The views were wonderful. Our 5 year old daughter absolutely loved all of the dressing up, toys, games and videos. She loved the gardens and also made some new friends (the Hens!) and loved visiting them on a morning to feed them. So very welcoming and very well catered for children. Also perfect for our dog too who loved being able to roam the gardens. The only thing we would change is that we wished we had been able to stay for longer but we will most definitely be returning and will be sure to stay longer next time! Thank you Christine for having us and we all very much look forward to seeing you again next year :) Marie P 2017-11-06

Perfect family friendly Lake District stay We had the pleasure of recently spending a wonderful week in Litle Ghyll Cottage. The cottage itself is lovely with a wide range of toys and games for the kids - kept us all entertained when we were in the cottage. The cottage is very well equipped with even a slow cooker (very handy for having a meal ready when we got home from a long day exploring nearby Windermere). The best bit is the garden - lots for children to explore. Our kids loved going and seeing the chickens first thing in the morning and giving them any leftover food. Christine the owner was very friendly and helpful. This nearby pub (The Watermill Inn) is a short walk away and serves great (child friendly) food (with a great selection of ales).
