Gowanlea is a detached, double-fronted cottage situated in the quaint village of Falstone, on the fringes of Keilder Forest Park and the National Nature Reserve. All on ground-floor, this cottage has two bedrooms; a super king-size double with en-suite shower room and a children's bunk room, sleeping four people altogether. There is also a bathroom, a kitchen and a living/dining room with multi-fuel stove.

Outside is off-road parking for two cars and an enclosed garden with a patio and lawned area. Gowanlea offers a varied holiday in a fascinating part of Northumberland.

Home from home
We have just returned home from a fabulous and relaxing week staying at Gownlea with our two dogs. Beautiful, clean and comfortable accommodation. Great little enclosed garden for the dogs (watch out for the midgies though!). I would recommend if you like a towel that wraps fully round you after a shower take your own, along with a larger non stick frying pan as the one provided was small, and that was cooking for two of us. We had a lovely stay and hope to return in the future. Great location for walks and close to Kielder Water and forest. The pub and tearoom in the village are a short stroll away and The Blackcock Inn serves great food and drinks in a friendly atmosphere.
