Birthday Celebrations
As frequent visitors to Anglesey and Newborough my wife and I watched the renovation of this property back in 2018 with interest and took the opportunity to celebrate her birthday here just prior to the 'circuit breaker' lockdown imposed by the Welsh First Minister. The property did not disappoint and we were delighted to find it spotlessly clean and warm. The accommodation is comfortable and extremely well equipped. We all felt very much at home and looked forward to returning to the lodge after our days exertions. Everyone enjoyed the log burner in the evenings after tea. It's location cannot be beaten for ease of access to good paths and trackways enabling safe walking to the much photographed Llandwynn island which featured in the BBC Wales tv production 'The 1900 Island'. In the other direction is The Marram Grass run by Liam and Ellis Barrie which is well worth a culinary visit. We combined a visit to the famous Newborough stepping stones with lunch at the Marram Grass followed by a walk through the sand dunes where wild ponies graze and out across the mud flats to Aber Menai Point with its ruined cottage directly opposite the privately funded/built Fort Belan across the Menai Straits. Other 'local' places for consideration include Tacla Taid (Motor Museum), the Model Village and the Red Squirrels at Llyn Park Mawr.. In summary, a perfect place for families (or couples) to enjoy the best that Anglesey can offer without having to get in a car and motor miles to find it.

Fantastic house in a beautiful town
Stunning house inside and out with beautiful views from the back of the house. The house was very clean and beautiful decorated. Lots of little extras that were very helpful on arrival (tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, logs for the fire etc) The beds are very comfortable and the log fire was a perfect way to finish off any day. People in the Newborough village very friendly and helpful. Lots of lovely walks through the woods and down on the beach. Worth a visit to the little island at the end of the bay (blessed island). We had a fabulous time here, made lots of lovely memories and really didn't want to leave.

Memories made @ Forest Lodge
We booked the lodge for my dads birthday celebrations with the family. We arrived on the Friday evening after work and checked out on the Sunday. The lodge itself it's spacious, spotless, stylish, cosy and in the most perfect location for a outdoor weekend away. The weather was beautiful, we spent lots of time outdoors during the day walking through the forest with the children and dog and spent the evenings indoor beside the fire playing board games, sipping gin and catching up as a busy family does! A perfect getaway, we are already looking at our next break at the lodge. You won?t be dissapointed

Genuine home from home!
If there were 6 stars we would choose them. We were looking for a relaxing place to stay from which we could explore beautiful Anglesey. We found Forest Lodge which provided way more than we expected. It is contemporary, stylish, has loads of character, incredibly well stocked and we very much enjoyed the peaceful, cosy evenings watching the sun set from the back deck. It is close to a stunning beach, forest walks, a friendly village and a short drive to other sight seeing spots. All of which we enjoyed while we were there. We have since recommended Forest Lodge to friends who appreciate good quality accommodation as it is a superb spot.
