A mostly 15th-century church with a striking 16th-century tower. Within are a wonderful collection of medieval and Elizabethan memorials, including one to Sir John Acland (d. 1613) and another to Edward Drew (d. 1622) who sold nearby Killerton House to the Aclands.

The highlight is an exceptional stained glass panel of Christ displaying his wounds, by 'The Cadbury Master' workshop. Look for the tomb of George Fursdon, who died at the Battle of Lyme Regis in 1643, plus a Norman font and medieval bench end.

This attractive 13th-century church stands just off the market square in the historic stannary town of Chagford, Dartmoor. Highlights include the 1575 memorial of Sir John Whiddon and the tomb of his descendant Mary Whiddon, who was tragically killed by a jealous former suitor after leaving the church on her wedding day in 1641.
