A plaque near Mansion House marks the location of the medieval church of St Mary Woolchurch Haw. The church was one of those destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666. Fully 86 London churches were destroyed in the fire, but only 51 were rebuilt. St Mary Woolchurch haw was one of the unlucky ones, and now it is remembered in name only.
