This comfortable property offers two bedrooms, a well-equipped fitted kitchen, a dining conservatory and a cosy lounge, in addition to the large established garden with quaint summer house and children's play area.

Set in the quiet village of Llanegryn, this 19th Century end-terrace cottage is a stone-built property in the lovely Dysynni Valley. Situated in the Snowdonia region, where the mountains meet the sea, this charming holiday home offers a wonderful cottage atmosphere, seamlessly combined with modern facilities. Close by is the seaside town of Tywyn, the harbour village of Aberdovey and the Talyllyn Steam Railway – all of which provide visitors with a great day out – as well as the incredible Snowdonia National Park.

Guests to this cosy cottage can also enjoy the region's excellent cycling, climbing, biking, bird watching, horse riding and golf facilities.

Lovely little cottage with room for a family of 5 and plenty of garden space.
Tywyn is a 5 minute drive and has all the local amenities you'd need such as Coop and Spar, coffee shops, churches, outdoor leisure complex (crazy golf, putting green, table tennis, quoits etc) and a sand/stones beach. There is a ruined castle that can be explored about 15 minute drive left out of the cottage and the national park is on your doorstep. The cottage is snug but we had enough room for mum and dad and three boys sleeping in the 2nd bedroom. There is a big garden with a swing and summer house. We felt this cottage was really good value for money.

Nice cottage - shame about poor dog
Cottage was very clean and comfortable and in a good location. Well equipped. Plenty of room. Peaceful setting. However, we were upset that a dog was chained up almost 24/7 in the next door neighbour's garden. Whilst we were there he was given little attention and no exercise. He clearly wanted affection and wimpered when he saw us in the garden. Although the owner assured us that the dog was being cared for we were not convinced and have reported this to the RSPCA.

Great little cottage in a scenic valley
We had stayed in a Sykes Cottages propoerty previously, in Scotland, and were disappointed, but had no complaints about Minffordd. The setting, in a picturesque valley with Craig yr Aderyn on one side and Cadair Idris on the other, was perfect, The cottage is a well-renovated old end-of-terrace with lots of character, and good facilities. There is on-site parking for a single small car, and pets are allowed, and can wander around the garden (finding a sheep in the garden was a surprise one morning, though - hopefully the hole in the back fence is now fixed!) The local caretakers of the property were quick to respond when we reported a couple of problems, and the next door neighbours were very friendly too.As an added bonus, look out for the jam and cake stall a hundred metres down the road. The lack of a mobile phone signal or any data network at all was the only real disadvantage. Providing a little more information for new visitors is our only other improvement suggestion: it would be good if Sykes' compiled a standard list of things that renters like to know, and then each cottage could have its own version of this completed, courtesy of the caretakers, and left as a welcome for new renters. So, in summary, we would highly recommend this cottage.

The cottage had lovely exposed beams, very good living room furnishings, a lovely conservatory and was set in a nice peaceful location. There was also some nice local produce.

The area is one of the most beautiful in the UK. Within 10 minutes of the cottage you could be walking along side of a waterfall in Snowdonia, on a sandy beach or sitting in a beer garden with a stunning view over a lake with mountain views.
