A real home from home
We were staying in Two Tees from Spain where lock down happened in March 2020. Thank goodness we had chosen this as our base as it really was like living in your own home with everything that you needed for a short (or in our case) a longer stay! There was ample parking for two cars and a lovely garden to sit in and have a glass of wine or beer (thank you steve). There was a working washing machine and dryer although the weather so so lovely, we hung the washing on the washing line outside. The three bedrooms were comfortable and big enough for a family of 5 to stay very happily. A lovely big dining table and 6 chairs in the dining room off the kitchen was very welcome and the comfortable sofas in the lounge were just the place to finish off the evening in front of the TV. Was this a fancy hotel room with sheets changed every day? No, certainly not but that's why we chose it. When I say a real home from home, that's exactly what I mean.! Just bring your toothbrush and explore the wonderful countryside nearby. We will certainly be back again. Thank you Steve and all your family for making our stay a very happy (if enforced) break.

Very dated house, rather shabby.
The furnishings were very dated and tired with a rather unpleasant smell in the downstairs rooms. The bed linen and duvets had seen better days, very cheap and worn. It was unusual not to have anywhere to hang coats in the hallway, especially with the wet weather in that area. The front bedrooms are affected by the road noise, however the backrooms are fine although the window openings leave a lot to be desired...... The location was not ideal for walking or for eating out, you would have to drive a distance to find a pub that served food. On the plus side Leabrooks fish bar, a very short walk away, served beautiful fish and chips. That aside the owner, who lives next door, was very friendly and did check we were ok.

In a very convenient location for places of interest in both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The owner is very friendly and very helpful. It was beautifully clean and had all the facilities we needed. If you are just wanting to travel locally there is a bus stop very close by and food shopping is within walking distance. I would recommend it to anyone and would happily use it again.

Two Tees is in a superb location for the Derbyshire Dales, and Nottinghamshire. It is a well equipped house with very accommodating and friendly owners and neighbours.

This was the second time we had stayed. For a 3 bed detached, it is excellent value for money. Our aim this time was to visit the National Trust properties in the area and Sherwood Forest. Last time we visited the Peak District, it is convenient for all these places. There is a Co-op within 5 minutes walk and Tesco or Sainsbury's within a 10 minute drive. All very good for a low cost family self-catering holiday. The owners next door are always very friendly and helpful.
