A fantastic, dog friendly, cottage in a good location. We felt at home from the moment we walked through the door of Sunset Cottage. A clean well decorated, comfortable, homely house with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable sofas in the living area. Upstairs the main double bedroom was a good size then there's a small 2nd bedroom with a couple of bunks. There's a nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Outside there is a pleasant garden that is super dog friendly and totally secure.
Whilst Beadnall is quite a small village there are two dog friendly pubs both serving good food, there's an upmarket caf? but it doesn't allow dogs, there's also a village shop for essentials.
Beadnell Bay is open to dogs all year and is about a 10 minute walk away from the house, from there you can walk for a couple of hours and when the tide is out the beach is huge! There are other dog friendly beaches within a short drive and the walk from Seahouses to Bamburgh was wonderful. The buses are dog friendly so you can walk one way and catch the bus back if need be.
My wife, me and our Cocker Spaniel enjoyed a wonderful week's holiday made special by lovely scenery and a fabulous house to come back to at the end of each day. Sheritu 2017-08-13
We loved the cosy feel of the cottage. An enclosed garden means it is safe for little ones. Five minute walk to the beach and pub and a good kids playpark. The weather was good to us and we were able to enjoy beach combing and being outside all day. We would recommend and hope to return to the area in the summer. Mrs Myers 2016-04-04
We had a wonderful time, the cottage is tiny but perfect for 2 adults and 2 small children. The location is really good, the cottage didn't lack anything and the caretaker was very thoughtful. Mrs Dadson-Butt 2016-02-22

Everything you could wish for...and more!! We absolutely loved Sunset Cottage. It was light and airy, tastefully decorated and was very comfortable and cosy, and had everything in it that we needed to make it a stress free holiday. Off road parking is always a must for us, and the pretty enclosed garden for our dog Cindy was a real bonus as we didn't have to worry about her if we let her out, and it was lovely to watch the birds coming and going....and the horses and sheep in the field behind. A lovely hot shower, comfy bed, and comfy seating in the lounge, we couldn't wish for more. I loved the Patricia Cornwell novels,(my favourite author),and read two of her books. I also managed to complete the Cadbury jigsaw, (another one of my favourite past times!!) The village is so peaceful, and we had lots of walks in and around it. I loved having a radio to listen to whilst getting ready for our day trips out. Having the local beach just a few minutes away, the shop, and the fish and chip shop too. It is definitely one of the best cottages we've stayed in. A wonderful location, stunning scenery, and lots of places to visit within easy reach. The cottage always felt so lovely and welcoming to get back to after our days out, and being able to relax on the lovely reclining sofas and to put our feet up, is what a holiday is all about. We loved it so much we didn't want to go home!!! Fiona D 2015-06-14
