This property enjoys a fantastic location within the Saxon walls of the quayside town of Wareham. Everything that the town has to offer is just a short walk from the property including a range of unusual independent shops weekly market and sports centre. The town quay is a fantastic place to visit whether you want to sit in the pub and watch the boats go by or take a boat trip along the River Frome down to Poole Harbour.
The area is well known for its stunning coast line and guests to this property have a great choice of sandy beaches on the Bournemouth side of Poole Harbour or the fossil-rich beaches and dramatic seascapes of the Jurassic Coast. This property is a fine example of a period cottage and retains many period features giving it a cosy and atmospheric feel. The lounge is a great example of this with its beamed ceiling and inglenook fireplace which houses a warming wood burner.
However guests do not need to forego modern creature comforts and there is a TV/DVD and iPod in the room which can all be enjoyed from the comfortable sofas. The country-style kitchen/diner has underfloor heating so there is no need to get cold toes in the morning and is home to a dining table seating four. The kitchen area itself is well-equipped and offers a Range oven hob fridge with ice compartment whilst the microwave freezer and washer/dryer can be found in the separate utility room.
Steep cottage-style stairs lead from the lounge to the first-floor accommodation where there are two bedrooms. Both of these are king-size rooms each with plenty of storage space and a dressing table. The main bathroom is also located on the first floor and offers a bath with handheld shower and WC whilst there is also a ground-floor shower room with shower and WC.
Outside the property benefits from an enclosed patio garden which has garden furniture and a BBQ making it a lovely spot to unwind with a drink at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. There is parking for one small car which is accessed via a narrow entrance whilst there is also roadside parking available locally for larger cars.
