Lovely stay in a beautiful location
Great location with the town of Ulverston only a mile away. The cottage had everything you needed although I think it would be a problem only having 4 mugs and 4 glass if there were 3 or 4 of you staying there. There is a zoo about 5 miles away and lots of lovely towns and villages to see (Windermere, Cartmel etc). Cumbria is a great place for foodies due to the number of AA rosette and Michelin standard places to eat. Walks galore and I would recommend a trip up to the Honister slate mine for the cavern climbing. Keswick town was only about 8 miles from Honister mine and had plenty of shops and cafes.

Perfect getaway.
We booked the Eller Riggs cottage for a short break to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Every aspect of the visit was perfect. When we arrived, we were greeted with a lovely anniversary card and a bottle of bubbly. The cottage itself was stunning, finished to an exceptional standard with everything we needed. The location is perfect, just outside Ulverston, far enough out of town to feel remote but close enough for convenience. The scenery was breathtaking and we had amazing views from almost every window. Loretta and Keith live close by and could not do enough for us, Loretta was even kind enough to take some photos of us to treasure our visit. We will return to this gem of a location and cannot recommend it highly enough.

All we can say about this cottage is excellent! The peace and quiet was very nice; the people that own the cottage are very nice, and friendly. Ulverston is a very nice place to visit. There are so many pubs and the cottage had everything that you could possibly need, and the walk in shower was amazing. This is a must for people to visit.
