Lovely cottage, lovely location
We stayed in Kits cottage for a week and it was lovely. Nicely decorated, very comfy beds, nice sized garden. The cottage looked a lot nicer than the photos show. Sea view from the bedrooms. A couple of minor issues were swiftly sorted by the owners who were very friendly and helpful. The location is great - Co-op in Belford itself for groceries. And perfect for Bamburgh, Holy Island, Alnwick and lovely villages further down the coast. Our first holiday with a dog and the beaches were perfect as dog friendly as were lots of the pubs and cafes. Would definitely stay again if in this area.

Superb
Had a lovely weekend with girlfriends at Kits Cottage. We also had the adjoining Bruno's Bothy.
Well equipped, stylishly decorated, lovely open fires and comfortable.
Perfectly situated close to Bamburgh there is plenty of lovely places to explore.

Fabulous cottage with lots of character, surprisingly spacious, perfect location.
Kit's Cottage is situated a short walk outside Belford, a lovely village with excellent pubs and shops. It's close to the beach and central to many fabulous historical attractions including Holy Island and the castles of the Northumberland coastline. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the area is completely unspoilt. The cottage itself sleeps 5 people and has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard, it is furnished beautifully. Marni, the owner is really friendly and helpful, she is available to answer any questions, advise on the area and recommend places to visit. I would highly recommend the cottage as the perfect base to explore Northumberland.

Great cosy cottage
What a lovely little cottage for us and our two dogs to explore beautiful Northumberland. Everything was there that we needed and we felt very much at home. Reviewers on Sykes Cottages who we booked with have mentioned there's no washing machine but we knew that when booking as it wasn't listed in the amenities so this really isn't an issue for us. Majority of the cottages we've stayed in haven't had washing machines. The WiFi was excellent and fast and good mobile coverage too. The double bed was really comfy and the cottage was warm and cosy, too warm in fact we had to turn the heaters down! Basics to make a drink where provided for when we arrived and the heating was on which was a nice touch as it was a cold February. The owners provided throws in the living room to get cosy on the couch which I really appreciate as it's what I do at home. We didn't try lighting the open fire as didn't really need it but I'm sure it's lovely when it's on and there was a starter pack provided. Good size very well maintained garden for the dogs to run up of a morning and last thing at night. Garden furniture also provided on a patio area, would be lovely in the summer. Dark skies at night is something really special and the skies were stunning. Cottage is situated to local supermarket in Belford which is a co-op. It could easily be walked to if you fancied not driving. There's also a chippy and some pubs in the village although we ate out in Berwick and Alnwick. We really would love to come again to this well presented cottage. Also got an email from owner explaining the WiFi password and how to access property from the back which was good to know.
