Wonderful first visit to Pembrokeshire!
What and amazing half term week we have had exploring this area, having never visited before we were delighted at every turn to see amazing unspoilt beaches, beautiful cliff top walks, ambles round great villages, plenty of yummy meals in country pubs and coffee/cake stops in many a lovely cafe -as a bonus we were blessed with the best of the weather. We travelled as a family of five plus Betty the doggie, Blacksmiths Cottage was everything we needed and more- located in a great spot for exploring the area, equipped with everything you could ever possibly need and more! Wonderfully comfy beds, fresh linens, homely touches and a log burner set up to go! We loved the generous gift of Welsh cakes and Prosecco too. The kids enjoyed many a time in the hot tub and the dog loved the garden snaffling in the Autumn leaves. We had a Tesco's on line delivery on our first day and enjoyed a mix of meals in and out. Highlights of our holiday are too many to mention- Barrafundle, Whitesands, Nolton Haven, Broadhaven all exquisite beaches, Tenby for retail, arcade and iceceams! St David's cathedral, pumpkins at the BugFarm, escaping the Escape Room, trampolining at Hangar 5 and Frizbee Golf! The list is endless and there is still more we would come back to see and do. We had great meals at the Cambrian, Castle and St Bride's in Little Haven, Mamgu in Solva does the best Welsh cakes and Rarebit lunches. Book this fab place and you will be thrilled with your decision. We are just sad our week is over x x x thank you

Lovely, relaxing off-season break (dog included!)
Our little family (toddlers and dog included) enjoyed a wonderful week in very early March at Blacksmiths Cottage - a week which began with late Winter snow and warmed up to some lovely Spring sunshine! We kept cosy with the log burner, soft blankets and incredibly comfy beds, and of course with the garden hot tub - a treat at any time of year! Furnished and equipped to high standards (including some lovely little extras plus children's toys/essentials) the cottage is brilliantly situated for access to the wonderful beaches and countryside of the Pembrokeshire Coast. Highlights for us were the closest, beautiful beach of Newgale; Whitesands Bay at St. David's; the amazing 'Blue Lagoon' at Abereiddy Beach; Marloes & St. Brides and lovely Little Haven. Tenby is also only a short drive away and always worth a day trip! With so many wonderful beaches, country walks, lovely pubs and villages it's an area to return to over again, and Blacksmiths is the perfect base from which to explore.

Beautiful cottage in lovely, quiet location
We stayed at this fantastic cottage for a week in June of this year and we had a really great time! The cottage itself is stunning and all the rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely well presented. The open plan of the lounge and the kitchen is very nice and the kitchen is very well equipped. The large garden is also very nice and the hot tub was great! This is a beautiful area and it is very quiet at the cottage - perfect place to chill and relax and enjoy proper darkness at night. You will need your car but we got out and about a lot and went all along the stunning coast from Whitesands Bay in the North down through Broad Haven and Little Haven and further South to Marloes, Stackpole and Tenby. There are stunning beaches everywhere along the coasts and lots of National Trust places too so don't forget your cards! We found lots of lovely pubs and restaurants on our travels and nearly all were dog friendly, as are the majority of the beaches. We'd never been to this area before and it really does have some stunning and dramatic beaches and miles of walking if that's your thing. Already hoping to go back again next year!

Beautiful cottage from which to explore stunning scenery!
We were fortunate to spend a week leading up to New Year's Eve at this delightful cottage. The owners have gone to so much effort to make it feel welcoming, cosy and extremely comfortable. They have tried to think of every eventuality for their guests and this shows in all the added extras that you wouldn?t usually find in just a holiday home. It is so well equipped with everything, and more, that you could possibly need. They have made holiday life as easy as possible by providing more than enough of kitchen ware, along with a full size dishwasher for ease. The themed bedrooms with local photos too are a thoughtful addition. Lots of pretty touches too to make it feel special. The log burner is so cosy after a stroll in the winter sun and the nearby areas are just incredible to explore. Even in the cold, the landscaping is breathtaking. I gather there is now a hot tub, outdoor seating and BBQ area and these will be the perfect addition to such a wonderful cottage. The owners have spent a lot of time, and money, on the property and I know the garden area was next on their list to tidy up. I am very much looking forward to going back this next winter and I can?t wait to sit in the hot tub looking at the stars! If you are looking at going as a couple or a larger group with children then I completely recommend Blacksmiths Cottage.
