If you're planning to spend some quality time with a partner or to celebrate a very special occasion, this little love nest has been finished to an extremely high standard, providing unique and luxurious accommodation in a tranquil location.

Climb the steps to the glazed front door and you step into a gorgeous micro home that's light, airy and really luxurious. Finished and furnished to an extremely high standard this little jewel box is cosy and snug on even the coolest day, a really well equipped kitchen area with a silent fridge and a double bed. There's also a wet room with shower, basin and WC.

The accommodation has been so well thought through you really will love spending time here. All the windows have shutters so you can enjoy absolute privacy. The Snug sits alongside Carwinley Beck and you'll enjoy your own private screened area with seating, lighting, a parasol, outdoor shower, fire pit - you're even provided with toasting forks and marshmallows - and of course the private hot tub.

This is quite simply the perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine or local craft beer after a busy day sightseeing. Guests also enjoy full use of the 3 1/2 acres of grounds and the tree house. There's a communal parking area.

There's no light pollution so the night skies are perfect for star gazing and even catching the celestial lightshow of the Northern Lights. If you can tear yourselves away from the delights of the Snug, Longtown is a pretty town in the lovely Scottish Borders with bars, restaurants and shops. There's walking and cycling virtually on the doorstep including along the river Esk that teems with wild salmon.

Gretna Green is just 6 miles away and no romantic break in this part of the world would be complete without a trip to the Blacksmiths Shop, now a stylish restaurant and shopping arcade. Longtown is a perfect base for exploring everything that his region, richly steeped in history, has to offer. Carlisle with its blend of historic castle and cathedral and modern restaurants, bars and shopping is just 10 miles away, and you can reach the North Lakes including romantic Ullswater within an hour.

A trip over the breathtaking Kirkstone Pass will take you into Ambleside and Lake Windermere, or head west to the stunning Solway Coast, a designated Area of Natural Beauty. Hadrian's Wall is also within easy reach of the Snug. With the riches of captivating Cumbria on the doorstep, and stylish comfort both inside and outdoors, the Snug is the ideal romantic retreat for a couple who enjoy the life less ordinary.
