So many of our holiday houses have impressive outlooks but the views here are truly outstanding and the location is superb! Elevated above the water's edge with panoramic views over the Menai Strait with Snowdonia as a spectacular backdrop, the outlook is simply breathtaking whatever the season. Aptly named Glan Dwr, which translates to waterside, there is a view from nearly every window. The terraced garden has seating areas and at the very bottom there is your own private dock so you can cast your rod or throw your crab line directly off the wooden deck! The kitchen has everything you need for rustling up tasty meals! There's an AGA, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and toaster.
The utility room adjacent has a fridge/freezer, washing machine and drier. Just off this utility is a ground floor is a loo and wash hand basin. The sitting room is a wonderful space - it has a large, curved bay window with seating from which you can soak up the sea views.
There are squishy sofas and chairs set around the warming open fire, ideal for adding warmth in the winter. For entertainment, there's a large flat screen TV, DVD and CD player. The dining room has a table and chairs sitting up to eight.
There's a feature fireplace but it's not in use. Glan Dwr has four bedrooms which all have sublime views of the Menai Strait and the mountains of Snowdonia as a backdrop.Bedroom one is the master room with a Queen sized bed, vanity sink, and French windows that lead out onto a small, curved balcony.
Bedroom two has a king sized bed. Bedroom three is a double and bedroom four is a twin. There is a bathroom with bath, loo and wash hand basin and a shower room with shower, loo and wash hand basin.
Outside is a delightful garden with pretty plants, winding paths and seating space to soak up the views. In fact, the grounds go right to the water's edge where you'll find a wooden dock. There is a wide pavement outside on the roadside where you can park your car.
Situated between the popular towns of Menai Bridge and Beaumaris, each with an excellent variety of pubs, restaurants, cafes and individual little shops. Don't want to drive? The Gazelle Hotel is less than a 5 minute stroll away for either a beer (or two!) or a meal. You can walk to Menai Bridge in approximately 25 minutes, too.
