An immaculate cottage finished to a high standard with a terrace and stunning views of the harbour, Whitby Abbey and out to sea. Located close to shops, pubs, bars and cafes and just minutes from the beach, it is ideal for couples and families.

Lower Ground Floor To the lower ground floor are two bedrooms and a bathroom; both bedrooms - one is a double and the other is a good size twin bedroom - have patio doors to the terrace outside. There is a superb house bathroom that has a bath, shower over, WC and hand wash basin. Ground Floor The entrance porch opens into a reception hall, flagged in Yorkshire stone, which is artfully lit with low level blue lights at night.

A few steps up from the reception hall leads to a spacious, open plan living space - a lounge area with TV/DVD and wonderful sea views, plus a dining area - perfect for enjoying meals together. There is a smart well-equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, integral fridge, freezer and dishwasher, with plenty of work sufaces for preparing meals. The ground floor also has a shower room - ideal for when you come off the beach! - plus a utility/laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.

Outside The terrace has tables and chairs - where better to enjoy breakfast as you gaze out to sea or indulge in a nightcap, looking across the harbour at the Abbey, floodlit in the evening?

Recent Stay
First impressions from the outside were disappointing. Access to the accommodation is via the bin area, which hadn't been cleaned, was smelly with lots of flies. However, once inside, the place is a delight. It's immaculately clean, very well equipped with crisp white bedding and big fluffy white towels. There's a view of the Abbey from the living room and it's just a few minutes, very pleasant walk into Whitby centre. The outside seating area is a nice touch. However, we didn't use it as it hadn't been cleaned and the furniture was splattered with seagull mess. Whilst the seagulls will be an ongoing issue, covers for the furniture would help. Parking at peak times could be a little tricky. In summary, we had a very nice break in comfortable surroundings and would be happy to return.
