In need of updating and a jolly good clean
We have just returned from Harbour View Apartment and was disappointed with the overall condition of the apartment. Action points for the owner 1. The sofa's are in diabolical condition with the faux leather coming off which makes them look ?tatty? they also had white finger marks over one sofa, the other one was covered with a throw and underneath was in a terrible state. This throw was a trip hazard for our disabled parents. 2. The two single beds were very uncomfortable and the mattresses need changing, the one nearest to the door has springs sticking up. 3. The balcony whilst lovely for people watching had moss and weeds on it. The table and chairs were covered in dirt and we had to clean them and the decking needs looking at as certain planks moved when walked upon. 4. The carpets were filthy and I think may be beyond a deep clean, we did try to clean around with the hoover but the hoover didn?t really work. 5. The en-suite down pipe located in the small bedroom was so noisy and needs checking 6. Lots of little items missing, mirrors are needed in the bedrooms, a chair in the master bedroom, oven gloves, scissors, a know it sounds a lot of minor things but when you only have a tea towel to get things out of the oven it can get annoying. 7. Please note that the lift is very temperamental and it often gets stuck on floor 1. We solved it by going to another floor and requesting it, apparently it has never worked properly!!! I do wonder why it hasn?t been sorted. This flat would be great for party animals but please note that Friday and Saturday nights are extremely noisy up to about 4:30am, this noise seems to resonate down the side street where the bedrooms are located so please be aware. Overall our experience in this apartment was disappointing, we have stopped in two other flats in this block and must say they are head and shoulders better than this one. We were asked to make a list of action points soTripAdvisor reviewers check out to see if any of my action points have been sorted, I guess they won?t be. We must say Weymouth is such a great place to visit and we will be back but not in this apartment.
