A view of the quite amazing interior of the British Museum. The skylight covers much of the central interior, permitting great amounts of light to illuminate the space within. The Museum building dates to 1753, and the collections are based on a vast array of items collected by Sir Hans Sloane during his lifetime. Since then, the British Museum has expanded and grown to become of the foremost museums in the world - and it can be immensely crowded, too!
