Surrounded by fresh-water streams and pretty woodland, the rural village of Eglingham is full of the picture-postcard-charm that all holiday-villages should have.

This lovely stone cottage with views of the open countryside is located on the edge of Eglingham. Renovated to a remarkably high standard, the décor of the house skilfully combines old-world charm with modern practicality and can be enjoyed throughout the year. Whether you fancy a summer break by the sea, or a Christmas Eve snuggled up by the pillar box-red AGA this lovely house can accommodate.

The spacious living room offers an open fire, and for days when the weather isn't at its best, there's a colour TV with video and DVD player. With a lovely, well-maintained garden, perfect for picnics beneath the apple trees, this cottage is a great place to bring the family.

Super cottage
This is a super cottage beautifully presented with a high standard of finish. Lots of authentic bits of old furniture and quality fittings and appliances. Nice location for visiting Alnwick, coast etc We were two hard to please middle aged couples and we really liked it.

Charming and well presented cottage
Sunflower Cottage is in a perfect location for exploring both the beaches and countryside of Northumbria. The village of Eglingham has a great pub and the cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay - great place.

The cottage was immaculate and we felt welcome to use the facilities as our own. We had two young children and an infant and felt comfortable letting them play and explore. The location was perfect for exploring around Northumbria and we would love to return.
Mrs Coolican

Lovely property in a very quiet and picturesque village but relatively close to the main amenities in Alnwick. Good access to A1 so easy to get to Northumberland's tourist attractions. Excellent holiday.
Mrs Pope

The cottage was fabulous! Well equipped and comfortable; we loved the log burners and hot water on tap at all times. The cottage had high quality furnishings and decor, spacious rooms with character and charm. It is a terrific location with a great pub/restaurant about two minutes walk from the property. Highly recommended.
