This property is a single storey detached cottage that has been tastefully furnished and is able to sleep up to six people in comfort.

This property is delightful and sits on the shores of Loch Awe within the owner’s grounds. There is a bright modern kitchen, a sitting room with a wood burner and the dining room has doors leading to a decked area. Accommodation is provided by three spacious bedrooms, an en-suite shower room and a family bathroom, and outside there is a decked area, large lawned terrace, garden furniture and barbecue.

The garden has a burn (Scottish word for stream) at the bottom. The location of this property is very special and offers welcoming and comfortable accommodation that makes an ideal base to discover the area or simply a place to get away from it all and makes a memorable holiday base for the whole family.

A lovely relaxing week in a remote and beautiful location
So much to enjoy about this 7 day break away from our busy home/city lives. The wildlife (my daughter felt like she was on the set of the Peter Rabbit film), the spectacular views of Loch Awe and the general peace and tranquillity of the area. Add to that a lovely spacious cottage with the bonus of the loch-side cabin and you have a very happy family. Simone and Ian (the owners) were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We arrived to home made scones & bread and some delicious strawberry jam. They provided us with bird and squirrel food to keep the daily visitors to the decking area happy. Watching these daily visitors took up the first 1-2 hours of each morning and it was a real privilege to get so close to the red squirrels. We also did a spot of fishing (fishing tackle provided by Ian) off the private loch-side pontoon which we had access to. Spent the last evening on the pontoon taking in the natural beauty and magnificence of the loch...and also in hope of spotting a pair of local nesting Ospreys. Bluebell cottage is the perfect place to switch off and unwind!

Perfect.................... 5 star
We stayed here in december 2018 and it was amazing . The Owners Ian and simone we great. Ian is a wealth of knowledge and a real Gentleman . The cottage is beautiful and comfortable and Remote just how it should be.. We normally do Isle of skye every year but fancied a change and it was a good decision ... We will be going back this year for sure

Amazing cottage
Stayed here with our two girls aged 10 & 6 for four nights in Feb. I have to say, we have stayed in many self catering accommodation over the years & this cottage is a firm favourite. It had everything we needed and more. It was extremely clean & well equipped with good size rooms & the beds were nice & comfortable. The owners Simone & Ian & their dog Jura were very helpful before arrival & during our stay. We especially loved seeing the abundance of squirrels (Topsy, Tufty & Fluffy as per my children) on the decking in the morning (Ian dropped off nuts for them) & the many birds that also dropped in for a bite to eat. Our favourite part of the cottage was the summer house which is a short walk from the cottage, basically the garden of the house is the loch... stunning views & so peaceful. It was very relaxing to sit on the deckchairs with a camp fire going just watching the sun go down.. spent every night down by the loch with a glass of wine. Overall this was an amazing holiday, made all the more amazing with the cottage & everything it provided us. We?d love to come back in the summer and use the decking more & see the loch in the warmer months.. please book this place if you can, it's fabulous!

Excellent holiday
We wanted a remote area and got it. The B road to the cottage is a single track road with passing places and is situated 14 miles around Loch Awe one way and 7 miles from the other end. The cottage is gorgeous. We particularly liked the wood burner, two bathrooms, cosiness, and bird table in clear view. I liked having a daily cuppa at the table watching the birds, red squirrels and rabbits on the veranda. On arrival we were greeted with scones and jam and the friendly and very helpful owners provided bird food, fishing tackle, an abundance of logs and useful information. The area is beautiful and the short walk to the private area of the Loch with the jetty and summer house makes it extra special. Not one complaint or niggle from us, everything made our holiday very relaxing.

Have been to dozens of self-catering cottages over many years, this ranks as one of the very best! We would love to go back.
