This attractive property near Robin Hood’s Bay is able to sleep three people and provides a perfect base for exploring the region.

This stone-built, semi-detached barn conversion is situated in the rural hamlet of High Normanby, close to the pretty villages of Fylingthorpe and Robin Hood's Bay. Retaining much of its original character, this former goat barn has been loving renovated and now boasts a wealth of exposed timber, flagged floors and a beautiful vaulted ceiling. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard, the property provides light and airy accommodation, perfectly situated for access to the coast.

The living space in the cottage consists of a double bedroom, a fitted kitchen with dining area and a lounge with sofa-bed and electric stove. This wonderful little property makes a great place for a young family.

Home From Home ( with alpacas )
We stayed at the Goatshed for 3 blissful nights . It?s a little off the beaten track but within easy reach of Robin Hood?s Bay and Whitby . Walkable distance to Robin Hood?s Bay ( unless like me you are waiting for a new knee ). The Goatshed is spotless, super comfy and cosy with everything you could need, even a washing machine , iron and ironing board . The fenced off area out side of the cottage was brilliant for our Basset Hound , who follows his nose and tries to escape at every opportunity ! The field next door has alpacas which were really sweet ! During our stay , we visited the Fylingdale Inn in Fylingthorpe , just over a mile away, they do tasty soup and sandwiches from 2pm onwards and are dog friendly . I can not recommend the Goatshed enough , it was a lovely stay

A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the world. The cottage was dog friendly as was the site, with a dog walking paddock. We will definitely go back again!
