Spot on
The Nutshell is in a great location, a very few minutes walk from everything you want, shops, pubs, restaurants, bus and train station and the harbour, yet it's just off the main streets enough to be quiet.
The place itself is very comfy, clean and a really imaginative and efficient use of the space. The owner could not have been more friendly or helpful. For a couple or lone traveller you'd have to go some to beat the Nutshell as a base for exploring this lovely and fascinating town.

Lovely Post Lockdown Getaway!
Lovely quirky little place in an ideal location. Easy strolling distance to pubs, restaurants, shops etc. The parking permit provided for the duration of our stay was a god send as parking in Whitby can be tricky in busy periods and expensive. The car park was about a 5 to 10 minute walk away which wasn't an issue as you are able to stop outside the property and drop off your bags beforehand and there were plenty of spaces available. The apartment itself was lovely, decorated in a nautical theme. It was all very clean and tidy, kitchen is equipped with all you need for a short stay and we particularly liked the mezzanine room over the living area. Outside table and chairs are provided so you can enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony area after a day exploring Whitby. Owner Andy was brilliant with information before we arrived when I called him regarding key collection, even emailing us maps and explaining how everything would work (underfloor heating in the wet room, hot water etc). Would recommend for couples looking for a nice Getaway. Can't wait to return!

Perfect hideaway
This little gem is perfect for getting away from it all whilst being close enough to all the attractions of Whitby. Excellent cafes and just a short walk from the sea and Whitby Museum. Ideal for 1 or 2 people and the bed is so comfy, I slept better than at home!

We loved Nutshell! Beautifully designed, the accommodation is immaculately clean and very well thought out. The nautical theme works well and gives a lovely feel to the place. The location is great, quiet street but close to shops and only a short walk to the harbour and beach. We loved staying at Nutshell and look forward to another visit there!
