This semi-detached cottage is located in Nailsworth, in Gloucestershire and can sleep two people.

Garden View is a semi-detached cottage in the Gloucestershire town of Nailsworth. The cottage sleeps two people in studio accommodation and has a double bed, a kitchenette and a sitting area, alongside a shower room. Outside is off road parking and a lawned garden with outdoor furniture and a luxurious hot tub. Located in a wonderful location for discovering the Cotswolds and the superb towns of Cheltenham and Gloucester, Garden View is ideal for a romantic break in the Heart of England.

Firstly, the property was quite tricky to get to. It was on a dangerously narrow road up a terribly awkward, bendy, steep hill. The studio, was well kept but very small. We had our baby with us, and so after putting the travel cot up there was pretty much no room to move around. For the price, you?d definitely expect more room than this. The biggest disappointment was the location. It is advertised as being a 5 minute walk from the local town (Nailsworth). This is completely false. The walk was 10 minutes down an extremely steep hill, whilst due to the gradient, it takes an exhausting 25 minutes to get back. Further to this, having spent a good couple of hours walking around the town, it is rather uninspiring. Therefore, if you want to find anything to do, you have to jump in the car. The hot tub was excellent and the view, due to being up such a steep back drop, was pleasant. However, if you?re planning a getaway where you can just stroll out of the door and walk a few miles to find entertainment, look elsewhere. If you don?t mind spending your time driving from place to place to find something to do, then this might be ok. Overall, for us, a huge disappointment.

Views for days
Fantastic little place, very clean and modern, all the amenities and amazing views from the hot tub. Good little base to visit the rest of the Cotswolds.

Great place to stay.
Compact but clean. Rob and Charlotte are fab. Nothing is too much trouble, and they put you at your ease from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Stunning views and great hot tub. This is a great base from which to explore the Cotswolds and Rob is always ready to put his considerable knowledge of places to visit and eat at your disposal. We visited Berkeley Castle, Cirencester, Woodchester Mansion and several pubs including the Black Horse at Amberley which we would not have known of if Rob hadn't told us about it. Had our last dinner in the open at William's Fish Restaurant in Nailsworth where we found ourselves seated next to Richard E Grant. Wi-fi is a bit flaky so if you have some kit e.g. cable, wi-fi booster, best to bring it if you are bothered about that sort of thing. The perfect weather was a bonus. I hope we left it behind! As others have mentioned, reversing up the drive can be a challenge to the nerves but it's fine once you've got used to it.

Wonderful retreat, wonderful studio!
Me and my boyfriend came to stay here for a week for a holiday retreat and it was absolutely perfect!! The owners Rob and Charlotte were so friendly and very accommodating. They left us to it and really respected our space and made sure they didn't disturb us. They were also there if anything was wrong or if we had questions. I even broke one champagne flute and they were understanding and appreciated I told them right away! The studio itself was well equipped, all cutlery and plates were already there, the studio was clean and tidy and was almost brand new which the owner already told us they had it redecorated! So we felt like we entered a brand newly done studio! The furniture was good quality and everything worked really well! As you can see from my other reviews I'm very honest and blunt but I cannot fault anything in this stay, the parking was good as we parked on their drive and we enjoyed every day there! The fact that it's called Garden View makes sense as the view is sensational!! As already mentioned in other reviews it was the main reason we chose this one and it did not disappoint!! The hot tub was fantastic and relaxing after a long walk out in the countryside! The whole stay was fabulous and we hope to return again, thanks to the owners for doing such a fantastic job in the doing up of the property and adding a private hot tub as it was the best part of the holiday!

Beautiful views
My husband and I recently stayed at garden view for a week. The accommodation was spotless and everything you could possibly need was at hand. The bed was so comfortable, we both slept extremely well. The hot tub was a lovely bonus and the views from it were fantastic. The only slight negatives from our point of view was the parking and poor wifi. Granted, we have a large vehicle, but it was a bit of a tight squeeze and we had to reverse down the drive every time we left (my husband has no problems reversing but others might).
