Excellent in every way!
We stopped for 4 nights 3rd - 7th May, 6 adults and 2 toddlers and I have to say that the cottage is excellent in every way and is one of if not the best cottage we have ever stopped in. There is plenty of space throughout the cottage and has all the facilities that you would require. There is usually a discussion about who is going to get which bedroom, but all 4 bedrooms in the cottage are massive, with 2 being en-suite so there was no discussion. The location is very peaceful and there is plenty to see and do within a reasonable travelling distance. Hopefully we will be back in the future!

Mill House Lowick
Quite simply the best holiday let we have ever stayed in. Great setting, fantastic home from home feeling. Everything you could ever need for a lovely stay. Lots of space, big comfortable beds, huge farmhouse kitchen. The well stocked welcome basket was an unexpected surprise. Truly amazing place

Fabulous relaxing holiday
This is a beautiful barn, with lots of room for everyone. Large kitchen and everything that you could want for a break. Hot water was plentiful which is essential for 7 adults and two small children. The sitting room is spacious and the pool table a welcome extra. Bedrooms were spacious and bed linen and towels were lovely, Everything was very clean. The welcome pack was excellent, biscuits, wine, tea, coffee, milk, butter, bread. Our grand children loved the fact that there were sheep in the field next to the drive. It would be lovely to stay in the summer here. We booked through Sykes Cottages but actually received an email direct from Susie advising us of how to reach the barn and what was provided. There is a book with information about restaurants, shops. Lots of leaflets on places to visit. We went to Edinburgh on the train from Berwick on Tweed about a 45 minute ride it was quite reasonable. Kelso, Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, Seahouses. We had a walk around Ford and Etal which was 6 miles. Lots of places to walk around the area. Everything about the barn was outstanding and we will certainly recommend it to our friends. We hope to return at a future date.

Perfect Holiday Home
We stayed at Mill House over the New Year period. It is situated in a very peaceful spot with amazing views. The owners could not have been more helpful. The house is huge and was easily big enough for the nine of us. It was beautifully decorated and finished to a very high standard, whilst still maintaining a "home from home" feel. We had everything we needed to enjoy a lovely holiday. It was perfectly located for all the local attractions and we enjoyed our holiday very much. We would highly recommend.

This is a lovely house in beautiful countryside. The bird life in the copse which backs on to the garden is endlessly fascinating. We had lengthy evening meals together in the kitchen with its large refectory table. Very well situated for a mix of coastal and hill country activities and visits.
