RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Stunning beach location, comfortable house, great for families.
The location is stunning, right on the edge of the beach overlooking Freshwater Bay. The house is located on a one way unpaved track next to an active public slipway that you can walk down to the sandy beach, one side of which is used for launching anything from jetskis to small fishing boats. There is parking for several cars in front of the house. Opposite is a holiday village with a small shop/bar/cafeteria. Petrol station a few minutes drive for basics, and a huge Tesco in Pembroke dock about 20 minutes away. Dog-friendly Freshwater beach itself is huge and sandy, rock pools at low tide in abundance. The Sandcastle is essentially a new build, and we were the second people to rent. The owners were upfront about some details that still needed to be finished, but it didn?t spoil the enjoyment at all, and they did everything they could to make us comfortable. The house is great, each bedroom en-suite with all but the main bedroom downstairs, all nicely furnished. The view from the living room and kitchen over Freshwater Bay is spectacular. The kitchen is big, good enough for a professional because one night we hired a chef to cook dinner! it does need a larger fridge but the owner said that was on the way. There?s a lawn in front of the house, and a large lawn out the back on the edge of the beach, and then the heated infinity pool next to the house, perfect with the sunny weather we had. There?s wifi, necessary because mobile phone coverage is patchy at best. If I could rate our overall experience 4.5 I would, simply because of the few rough edges, but the location, owners and overall total house experience more than compensated.
