Hidden gem
Lovely week spent in this comfortable cottage.
Blessed with good weather which helped to explore the area.
We used the local train to visit ravenglass and walked to Muncaster Castle. Haverigg nature reserve is also worth a visit. The major lakes are about 30 mins drive away.
The location is great for easy access to the village beach and pub.
The other hidden gem of the area are hosts Dave and Helen. They were really helpful nothing too much trouble, they kindly sent my mobile onto me when I left it there this was much appreciated.
Would hope to return some time in the future.

Just returned from a very pleasant 7 day break at this well thought out cottage for 2.
Spotlessly clean and we had everything we needed.
Ideal for exploring the Lake District.
5 minute drive to Millom for shops. 8 minute walk to the pub in Silecroft village and a 2 minute drive to Silecroft beach, which is beautiful.
I highly recommend Hickory Cottage.
