This big family house is situated in the Devon village of South Zeal and can sleep eleven people in six bedrooms.
Townend is an elegant family house on the edge of the Devon village of South Zeal. The three storey house sleeps eleven people over two levels in four double bedrooms (one en suite), one twin and one single bedroom, with two bathrooms and a shower room. On the ground floor are a sitting room with wood burning stove, snug with wood burning stove, kitchen with dining area, scullery, hall and WC.
On the top floor is a cinema room and children's? playroom. Outside is a small enclosed garden with three acres of gardens beyond, an orchard and field and an outdoor unheated swimming pool for summer months. With the two pubs and shops nearby in South Zeal, Townend is a fantastic house for family holidays in Devon.

Lovely house with everything you could need for a happy and comfortable stay. Plenty of room for everyone and the cinema room and pool table were a particular hit!
Oxenham Arms in the village was a lovely venue for a Christmas meal.

Perfect place
Could not fault a single thing about this beautiful house. It had everything we needed and more! Cinema room for watching Euros and Wimbledon, sitting around and dipping in the pool made us feel like we were abroad! Fantastic walks from the door for all abilities. The pubs in the village were great and the small shop very well stocked. The gardens are amazing and the beds were so comfy. Would highly recommend.

Really great property for a family gathering, beautiful village and lots of walking easily from the house. The owners were lovely and very accommodating and helpful. We will look forward to a return visit

Lovely house!
Lovely house that made a wonderful holiday even better. They really had thought of everything. From the playroom to the cinema room, huge garden and swimming pool, all ages were catered for. Good shop, pub and resturant nearby in the village. Would definately recommend.
