Spotlessly clean
From Emily, Wimbledon Village West Kellet is a charming property: very warm and cosy, and the linen was fresh. The owner was very helpful and keen to please at all times. I believe the comfortable furniture was chosen by the letting agent. Lovely log warmer, though there'd only be a need for it in autumn/winter. We would certainly visit West Kellet again.

Mid week visit
This property is classed as 4 star on the Sykes cottages web site. I assume this is because it has things like a dishwasher, 2 x toilets etc etc. But due to the property being very very very tired I would say it is closer to a 2/3 star property. Everting within the property is very tired, kitchen, bed linen even the towels. The property is very reasonably priced , ?260 for 2 nights but wished we had spent a little more on another property. The cleaner also needs to spend a bit more time in the nooks and crannies, also they seem not to be able to tackle cobwebs !! I was amazed on our arrival 4pm was informed by the owner (an elderly gent in next door house) that the heating is timed and we could not have it on !!!!! He informed me his partner would contact me when they returned (they did not !) There was no response to phone, text or email. So generally very good PR from these owners. Weather was a little wet cold & miserable and would have really enjoyed a little warmth, there is a small electric radiator down stairs but trust me, it don't heat a whole house !!!!! My wife unfortunately does not like log burners (in lounge) so couldn?t use this, anyway 4 logs ain?t doing much if we had lit it. For info purposes, heating comes on 7am to 10am & 6pm to 11pm. This wasn?t too much of a problem as we went out for the day anyway. If you stay there in the winter take several jumpers ! I would not recommend this place unfortunately, mainly down to the lack of support from owner/owners.
