Great little place
We went August bank holiday week as a family of 4 and one dog.
The cottage is located just less than 2 miles outside of Barnard Castle and is on the grounds of a working farm. The kids 9 and 11 absolutely loved the experience of farm life. All the animals, a small wood to explore and fruit trees in the grounds.
As it's just up the hill outside of Barnard Castle it's so quite day and night so peaceful if you want to be out of the way.
As a family and as a couple on holiday the location was spot on. Close enough to the centre but plenty to do locally if you like the outdoors.
The cottage has its own gated courtyard where the dog has free roam of and WiFi connection for the kids to be entertained at night.
Andy and Kerry the owners and their daughter Millie were so welcoming and nothing was to much bother and had plenty of time for the kids trying there best to get involved/get under their feet.
For us this is a place we visit again and again.
