The property was filthy. Stained sheets, dirt, dust and dead flies behind every piece of furniture and on surfaces.
Fridge needed cleaning on arrival, kitchen surfaces we cleaned ourselves.
Hair in the beds, both human and what looked like animal hair.
No pillow protectors in any rooms or mattress protector in one room.
Ensuite shower was blocked with months worth of hair. We did complain about this and were given a luke warm apology. We did receive some complementary drinks as an apology.
We would have checked out immediately if we were not in the Summer holidays and we'd paid so much.
We spent most of our time in the cottage cleaning it.
The hot tub is across a yard, not attached to the property, so can be used by all guests from the cottages and campsite.
We used it 3 times then stopped as it was full of foam and had a scum ring around it.
The 'games room' is in the bar which was shut.
Overall I wouldn't stay here again. It's a shame as it could be really lovely if it was cared for.
