Fantastic little cottage
We were looking for a dog friendly place where we could explore the Yorkshire coast. Swallow's Nest was perfect for us, our Jack Russell and our new puppy. Facilities were brilliant, dog walking was wonderful and Paul was a great host. Very comfortable accommodation, more than enough crockery and stuff. The paddock out the back was great for letting the dogs out and the hot tub was an excellent bonus. We explored Whitby, Flamborough, Brid, Scarborough and also just chilled. We had such a good time and this really is a great location. In the tranquil country but five minutes from the seaside and shops. Can't recommend this enough.

Wonderful cottage and stay
Just returned from a lovely 3 night break here. Fantastic little cottage and added bonus of a lovely relaxing hot tub. Paul the owner couldnt of done anymore for us. Treats for us and even our little dog when we arrived made us feel very welcome. He even gave us the first 2 eggs his new chickens laid. Ideally located near whitby, scarborough and other areas. The cottage itself is immaculate and so cosy. Everything was there we needed. Only thing missing is a long mirror in the bedroom and plug sockets for hair dryer / straighteners ( but I managed) We took an extension lead, but only had a little face mirror. Also a hook or something outside would be nice to put the towels/ dressing gown on when getting in the hot tub Hot tub by the way...wonderful...it was very breezy and cold weather, but glorious sat in the hot tub Thankyou to Paul the owner for your hospitality we will be returning

Perfect little place
We loved our stay at Swallows nest. The property was spotless and beautifully decorated. It is the perfect place for exploring the East coast and North Yorkshire Moors. The hot tub was a great way to end each day listening to the local wildlife. We were welcomed by Paul the owner, who showed us around the property. There were lots of goodies left to make us feel very welcome. Daisy loved the dog treats Paul we are sorry we didn?t leave a message in your visitor book as we didn?t have a pen. We will definitely visit again in the future. Would highly recommend for a short or long visit. Rob, Claire and Daisy

Excellent cottage
Stayed here last week in August. When we got there it wasn't quite as advertised, no washing machine or dish washer only 1 smart tv these we werent bothered about, disappointed it didn't have the super king sized bed though ( just a double). Clear glass window in front door which looks straight into the bedroom and bathroom so privacy a little compromised. A mirror with a socket nearby would be handy for the ladies and some coat hooks in the hallway. All minor details though because all in all this is a beautiful little cottage done out to a very high standard. It's a little out of the way so nice and peaceful, Scalby village is less than 2 miles down the hill, Scarborough 4 mile away its a handy base for sightseeing around the area. Hot tub outside accessed through french doors is in its own enclosed area so our dog was safe while we enjoyed the tub, the owner Paul, nice chap, is out at work most of the day but we met him often with his three terriers he even offered to come and pick us up if we fancied staying out for a few beers. free wifi, smart tv with freeview comfy bed, great shower and lovely bathroom (toilet seat needs sorted though) Had a great week so thanks Paul and Wendy i definitely recommend your cottage to other future holiday makers
