Friesland Cottage is a semi-detached cottage with an annexe resting in Shilton sleeping eight people in four bedrooms.
Resting in the picturesque village of Shilton, is this elegant and stylish Cotswold stone cottage, Friesland Cottage. Surrounded by impressive Cotswold countryside and close to amenities, it makes for the idyllic getaway for a family or group of friends who are seeking a wonderful home-from-home break in the Cotswolds. Park up on the gravel driveway and unload your luggage into the large hallway to be immediately greeted by stylish flagstone flooring and a wonderful woodburning stove.
Meander into the sitting room which is the perfect space for relaxing after a busy day spent discovering the Cotswolds, where you can kick back and relax on the sofas whilst watching a film on the DVD player, or playing fun games from the selection of board games on offer, as the woodburning stove keeps the room warm and toasty. Look forward to cooking delicious meals in the wonderful open-plan kitchen/diner, which is a great space for socialising. Cleaning up is made easy with help from the handy dishwasher, and you'll be delighted to see a washing machine and tumble dryer so you and your guests can leave with a bag of fresh washing.
Conveniently completing the ground floor is a cloakroom with a basin and WC. Friesland Cottage has four wonderful bedrooms, three of which are accessed by alighting upstairs on the wooden staircase. The master is a beautiful room with a double bed, benefitting from a Smart TV and an en-suite with a lovely roll-top bath and a smart digital walk-in shower, the second bedroom also has a double bed and the third has bunk beds, perfect for adults or children alike.
A further bedroom is located in the annexe, which is accessed by walking through the French doors in the dining area and through the garden; this room contains a 4ft double bed with a Smart TV and benefits from a well-proportioned en-suite walk-in shower room, perfect for the couple of the group. The family bathroom is located in the main house on the first-floor, where you can enjoy a relaxing soak amongst the bubbles in the bath. Outside, there are delightful gardens to the front and rear comprising of manicured lawns, fragrant flower beds, mature shrubs, fruit trees and a securely covered charming old well.
There is a large outdoor table with seating for eight in the back garden, along with a charcoal barbecue, croquet set and further outdoor games, allowing guests to make the most of the warm summer sunshine. A memorable holiday for all is spent at Friedland Cottage.
