Lady Bird Retreat is a spacious retreat located near the village of Skinningrove in North Yorkshire. This idyllic shepherd hut will make the perfect base for a romantic getaway, or for those looking to explore the area. As you enter the hut you are welcomed by an open-plan living area, which boasts a well-equipped kitchen, small dining space and a cosy sitting area, posing a woodburning stove.

Here, you will also find a TV, WiFi and reclining chairs to ease those tired muscles after a hard day’s walk. To the back of the property is a spacious, comfortable super-king size bed. The shower room within the hut hosts a full-sized cubicle with electric shower, basin and WC.

This cottage is ideally situated, where the local shop and pub can be located within a five-minute walk. Moreover, the beach is less than half a mile away where you can watch the birdlife nesting the imposing cliffs or just a little further on enjoy the long golden sandy beach and dunes. From the harbour you can join the renowned Cleveland Way and enjoy a beautiful walk to the seaside spa town of Saltburn with its cliff railway and pier.

The location is a fabulous base to explore the coast with Whitby being an easy drive away or venture in land to explore the pretty market towns of Guisborough or Helmsley. Lady Bird Retreat is truly a lovely stay whatever the season.
