A traditional London pub on Bishopsgate, opposite Liverpool Street Station. The pub is named for Richard Bentley, an 18th century merchant thought to be the inspiration for Dickens's Miss Havisham in Great Expectations. Bentley was famous for the filth of his warehouse, and the pub capitalised on that reputation by intentionally creating an atmosphere of overwhelming dust, cobwebs, and a dead cat, along with other unsavory artefacts! Thankfully these curiosities have now been moved to a glass display cabinet and the inn is a pleasant place to grab a pint or get some traditional food.
