This stone-built terraced barn conversion in a courtyard location is close to the village of Newborough on Anglesey and can sleep six people in three bedrooms.

The Granary is a delightful stone-built terraced barn conversion near to Newborough on the Isle of Anglesey. The cottage has a kingsize double with ensuite facilities, a second kingsize double on the ground floor and a twin bedroom which with the addition of a family bathroom make this cottage suitable for six people. The rest of the accommodation is made up of an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting room with doors to the garden.

Outside the cottage is off road parking for two cars, bike storage, an enclosed rear lawned garden with furniture with a BBQ and a front sitting area with views over Snowdonia. Being just two miles from the nearest beach and with all of Anglesey and North Wales to discover, The Granary is a wonderful holiday cottage all year round.

Overlooked and Claustrophobic
Sadly disappointed with this cottage. There is a row of apartments immediately behind the cottage which are very close and it is badly overlooked. We needed to keep the rear curtains closed for privacy and the people in the apartments were also keeping their blinds closed for the same reason. With the trees at the front and no view, the small windows of the converted barn, the accommodation was extremely claustrophobic. The Wi-fi was also poor and the signal kept dropping. Positives were adequate parking available, and the accommodation was extremely clean. All in all, I think it was overpriced considering the situation and the outlook. There is much better accommodation available on Anglesey for the same price based on my experience.

Lovely cottage, but could have been cleaner
Stayed her for one week with my parents and my 11 month old daughter. The location of the cottage was excellent, very close to Newborough beach which was lovely. There was also a pass so that you could enter the beach for free (usually ?4). The cottage was nice, but we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the cottage. Whilst superficially it appeared to be clean, when you looked closer it was not and needed a "deep clean." My daughter was crawling and got dirty from the floor and we ended up hovering it ourselves on the second day. It also needs some general maintenance eg the handles in the ensuite are rusty and need replacing. The first floor bedrooms also need some darker blinds as the sun floods the rooms early in the morning.

In a great position for walkers and not too far from the Coastal Path. With Newborough Forest about 1 mile along the road there is plenty of local walking and the beaches there are superb. With a well equipped kitchen and a BBQ outside, eating is easy. The bedrooms are large & very comfortable with ample storage and the bathrooms are very good. On a clear day there are very good views across to Snowdonia which is beautiful.

what a gem
We were unsure what we would find as this was our first time to this part of Anglesey but what a lovely location and a fantastic barn conversion. There was even some cows in the fields near us and lovely views across to the hills/mountains. The barn conversion was very well stocked and beds very clean and comfortable. Could not fault anything and if going back to that part of Anglesey would deff book it again. There is a lovely beach and my grandson was really happy with getting a beach run on a horse from the Anglesey Riding Centre and fish and chips in the local village of Newborough was lovely. It was very good of the owners to have left maps and really good info about the local sites and places to visit. Even our little dog loved it as well.

A fantastic property in a great location.
