Very poor
Loved the Isle of Lewis and we were so looking forward to are stay but o what a disappointment the flat was,lounge-five out of nine light bulbs not working ,TV worked intermittently and it lost the radio towards end of the week, the table lamps through out the flat were all had dirty bases, the sofa is very low so be warned if you are over a certain age and have trouble getting up.Kitchen hot water from tap Dangerous , coffee left for us was bb April 2014,poorly equipped we take self catering ,because that's what we like to do but you do need equipment, it was really poorly equipped apart from five pairs of sicissors, there were that many empty cupboards they they could have put a dishwasher in. Bathroom good shower but over a very high bath so that would not be easy for some also there was No none slip mat ( I saw from comments book that that had been requested in 2012! Very dangerous if you are a little unsteady. Bedroom tv not working and that had been commented on earlier in the year,No net curtain at window so as this was aground floor flat everyone looked in when they went pasted, light bulbs not working in this room too, window would not stay open. I think these owners just like to take the money and run and do not bother what people think, certainly very expensive for what you get.

Very comfortable,wonderful!
We came here for the HebCeltFestival and stayed three nights. This self catering apartmant is very good equipped and has a parking behind the house. The apartment is located on Matheson Road in the heart of Stornoway. It is only a few minutes walk for all amenities and for Lewis Castle. Furthermore it is a good starting point to visit Lewis and Harris. We will come back.

Not worth the money
Nice apartment but that's all. just nice. Too many little things let it down. Uncomfortable seating in the living room. Tumble drier didn't work, kept switching itself off after 3 minutes. Smoke detector above the cooker, great idea- not. Bedroom TV freesat didn't work. At the prices charged, ?155 per night, I would have expected Sky. No mattress cover. Many other little niggles. I emailed the owners and didn't receive a reply.
