A lovely location, it was easy to find. There was a good ambiance & the lodge was fantastic.

Tranquil position
This lodge is in a very tranquil location, is very well laid out & beautifully furnished. It has a good deck with furniture & backs on to a river. There is a good pub within walking distance, which provides meals from Wednesday to Sunday, including take away fish and chips on Wednesdays. The location is very close to the Welsh border, with walks and castles galore. We had a lovely time & look forward to going back again very soon.

We liked the location and tranquillity. It was a total and beautiful escape from city life and noise. There were wonderful views from the living room of the river and amazing wildlife. The local Clunton coppice is so beautiful and well worth the climb up to it.

Perfect in every way
Lime lodge is a very light, modern, well equipped, place to stay. The owners have paid attention to every detail, towels and bedding included. Also a very simply dial to turn for the heating to be adjusted. The bed was lovely and comfortable and there's plenty of storage too. The lounge is light and airy, a very comfortable sofa to cosy up on and watch the large smart TV, take along a usb with your own films on to watch, as we did. Although there is a well stocked games and DVD cupboard too. The kitchen has a dishwasher and plenty of crockery and utensils to fill it. The phone signal was none existent on my network (O2) this did not bother us, we actually liked no one being able to contact us lol Our first recommendation is to crack open your bottle of wine and sit out on the comfy chairs on the decking and watch the ducks surf down stream, there's so much wildlife here, it's beautiful just doing nothing - together. Our second recommendation is The Baron at Bucknell, only 15mins away in the car, this is an excellent place to eat. Such a relaxing, tranquil place, we will definitely be back!
