Great cottage in a wonderful location
We recently stayed in this charming cottage, and received a warm welcome from the outset - the warmth of the heating to the welcome gift of local produce, and even treats for our cockapoo after our long drive from Kent. It really felt like a home from home and was extremely comfortable. The great feature of the whirlpool bath gave a modern touch in contrast with the olde world feel. We really enjoyed our stay and can?t wait to return sometime soon.

Clara's is a very cosy and comfortable cottage
Clara's is a very cosy and comfortable cottage, equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing break in the Yorkshire Wolds. We felt very much at home from our arrival with the lovely welcome pack to the information book on local places of interest and the log burner! The cottage is in a very peaceful location with opportunities to visit the coast, historic market towns, stately homes and wonderful walks. We have never slept more soundly with the quietness, no light pollution and very comfortable beds and returned home truly refreshed and invigorated. Thank you Catherine!

Another much needed week of Yorkshire Wold therapy
Tired? Long work week? Need a bit of fresh country air? They really should prescribe a stay at Clara's on the NHS you know.
I don't know what they put in the air up in West Lutton but a few hours spent in front of the gorgeous wood burning stove or out in the picturesque summer house listening to not much more than bird song is honestly enough to lighten whatever it is you've got weighing on your shoulders.
We've had yet another wonderful week on the Wolds , with the idyllic Clara's as a perfect base. Holiday homes really don't come any better, home cooking is a doddle thanks to a kitchen better kitted out than any we?ve stayed in before ( including fresh herbs growing in the garden ) , the beds are so comfortable ( might explain the slightly longer lay-ins I always have up there? ) and there's plenty of room to just be. Our Border Terrier Cross , Archie is brilliantly catered for - including his own kitchen cupboard with bowls etc. We simply couldn?t ask for more.
We've stayed here a number of times now, so often in fact that I?m slightly traumatised at the thought of holidaying anywhere else on the Wolds now. As luck would have it though, we aren?t going too far next summer , just down the road in Sledmere at Clara's sister holiday home, the Engine Room.
Thank you a thousand times Catherine for sharing your slice of the Yorkshire Wolds with us time and time again, it's honestly our favourite spot in the world to just be

Perfect rural break in idyllic cottage in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds
Second stay in the wonderful Clara's Cottage for our family of two adults and one teenager. The cottage is well equipped with three good bedrooms and a sizeable kitchen yet still very cosy, full of personal touches and ideally placed to enjoy what had become the parched but still beautiful landscape of the Wolds and the wide sandy beaches of the Yorkshire coastline around Filey and Flamborough Head. Unlike our previous visit when the weather was cold and wet, we were also able to enjoy the lovely garden and summer house.

Perfect cottage
I have stayed at Clara's a few times now and it's a treat every time. It's ideally located between Malton, the Sledmere estate and the beach so you're spoiled for choice (and always have a back up option if the weather isn't on your side). The cottage itself is beautiful with lots of homely touches and a lovely garden to enjoy the fresh air in. I had the best nights sleep in a long time on my recent trip- everything about the cottage is comfortable! I'd recommend it to anyone and will definitely stay again.
