Tan y Dderwen (meaning Under the Oaks) is a relaxing, tranquil retreat located on the edge of Beddgelert village overlooking Moel Hebog and part of the Welsh Highland steam railway. Nestled in the foothold of the Snowdonia mountain range, this stone built end of terrace cottage is an ideal base from which to explore all that North Wales has to offer. Tan y Dderwen provides an ideal base and would suit a family, friends or even a couple.
The cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout and is well maintained to a good standard by the owners, who will ensure a warm Welsh welcome at all times. Downstairs you'll find a lovely, homely sitting room with comfy seating and a drop leaf table and chairs provide a cosy dining area, of this room is a small conservatory ideal for drying outdoor clothing. The well-equipped kitchen with breakfast table caters for all your needs, there is even a serving hatch into the sitting room for convenience.
Three nicely appointed bedrooms, a double, a twin and a single and a bathroom are arranged on the first floor. Outside the cottage enjoys an elevated situation and is set in almost 1/8 acre of garden, with a wooded backdrop and some lovely views encompassing Moel Hebog, a superb location for a refreshing drink after a day spent discovering the footpaths and trails of the Snowdonia National Park.
