Not what we expected.
We arrived here at 1500 hours and as instructed we let ourselves in. Our first problem was the tight entrance for reversing in. The picture doesnt show this but the bank has actually been cut away for a car to manoevre round.
The main part of the cottage is upstairs. A large lounge which was good for our needs. On this occasion the fire was broken and had not been fixed. However the kitchen is downstairs so we had to run up and down with our food.
The first floot bedroom is large and airy. Very tastefully decorated anf the ensuite is very nice.
The ground floor bedroom is cold and compact, it has a stone floor and despite the central heeating never got warm.
The kitchen cpould be better equipped. Colour coded chopping boards could be supplied and maybe another or a larger frying pan(we usually taker our own but on this occasion forgot). Waste bags had not been left to refill the bin.
The time we were there the owners were not present so we could not air any problems to them.
Any visitor to the area should also note there are two Stauntons in Gloiucestershire. We booked a meal on New Years Eve at the other one which is 25 miles away!! LOL
